What information do we collect from you?

We may collect information from you when you subscribe to our newsletter, when you make a suggestion, when you contact us, or when you enter one of our site competitions.

When you choose to subscribe to our site newsletter we will ask for your name and email address. We will only use this informaiton to send you our site newsletter on a periodic basis. This newsletter will contain information, freebies and offers similar to those displayed here on Freebies4Meebies. We will aim to store your personal information securely and we will not share that information with any other third party unless you specifically consent to us doing so. You will be able to unsubscribe from our newsletter at any time.

When you make a suggestion through our suggestion form we ask for only two pieces of personal information, your name and your email address. Again this information is only used to enter correspondence with you if we deem such correspondence appropriate. We will securely store the suggestion you send us for a reasonable amount of time that we deem appropriate in case of query from you or any other party. Once the information is no longer relevant, such as an expired competition or freebie, we will delete all your personal information from our records.

When you use the contact form for contacting us, again the only information we collect is your name and email address. Once again we will only use this information in order to correspond with you where we deem it appropriate to do so. We will also securely store a copy of your contact message whilst we deem it to remain relevant to the operation of our site and until the issue is resolved to both our satisfaction and your satisfaction, where appropriate. Once we deem the message is no longer relevant we will delete it and your information from our records.

When you enter one of our competitions, you may be asked to enter your name, e-mail address, location, and sometimes other sundry information where we deem such information to be necessary in order to administer our competition. The information you give will only be used for the purposes of administering the competition and will be securely stored until such time as six months after the competition has ended. If you are the lucky winner of one of our competitions we will keep your information for longer and reserve the right to share it on our website under competition winners where this is appropriate or to answer any enquiries, legal or otherwise, asking us to confirm that a prize was awarded from the specific site competition. Where we post your information on our website this will only involve your first name and initial of your surname and general location in the country, such as a city or county.

We also have access to basic information about browsing habits, such as popular site pages, IP addresses used, and browsers used. None of this information is personally identifiable to you by us, but enables to to find out which parts of the site are well used and which are not.

What do we use your information for?

In addition to the uses detailed above, any of the information we collect from you may also be used in one of the following ways:

Don't forget that you can opt out of receiving our newsletter at any time and we will delete your personal information from our records.

We will notify you if you win one of our competitions. If you enter one of our competitions we will use the information you give to us to tell you that you have won and provide you with your prize. We may need additional information to be able to process your prize and it is your prerogative whether you provide us with that or not. We will keep a record of this transaction and your information until it is no longer necessary to do so. We may, at our discretion, publish your first name, surname initial, and location on our website along with other competition winners.

Do we use cookies?

Quite simply, we do not use cookies at present. If this should change we will update our privacy policy accordingly. We do have links to other sites, however, that do use cookies in order to track transactions or specifically use those sites, as detailed below.

Third party links

The main reason for the existence of Freebies4Meebies is to give you access to freebies, free competitions, and other useful offers all in one place. This means that we link to lots of different sites who each have their own privacy policy which determines how they use the data they collect about you, and use of cookies and tracking software. We strongly recommend that you make yourself aware of how each of these sites use your information before signing up or registering with them. We do also occasionally, at our discretion, include or offer third party products or services on our website for which we receive a small commission, in order to help us run and fund Freebies4Meebies. In order to receive said commission your action on the third party sit has to be linked as a referral from us here and this tracking is usually done by means of non-intrusive software provided by a third party tracking site. If you are not happy with us doing this you should not use this site. You should be aware that the majority of websites on the internet use this method in order to gain commissions from your actions.

All the third party sites we link to from here will have separate and independent privacy policies. We therefore cannot bear any responsibility or liability for the content and activities of these linked sites, nor can we be held responsible or liable for how they use any information you give to them. Nonetheless, we seek to protect the integrity of our site and welcome any feedback about these sites if you wish to provide it and will remove any links to sites which appear to abuse your personal information. Please note that the majority of these sites use cookies or tracking software too and will ask for your information, which is why we strongly advise you check their privacy policies and read their terms and conditions of use.

We may use Google and its partners to serve advertisements based on your visits to this and other sites on the internet. Google uses the DoubleClick DART cookie. You can choose to opt out of the use of the DART cookie by visiting Google here. You can also choose to opt out of some, but not all, cookies from various other advertising networks in one location at the Network Advertising Initiative website.

We do not sell, trade, or otherwise transfer to any third parties your personally identifiable information. This does not include trusted third parties who assist us in operating our website, conducting our business, or servicing you, so long as those parties agree to keep this information confidential. We may also release your information when we believe release is appropriate to comply with the law, enforce our site policies, or protect ours or others rights, property, or safety.
